Don't know if this has been posted before, but I just came across it on YouTube and thought it was pretty darn cool. It's a guy playing the music from various Mario games on the piano.

    Have a squiz. :)

That was cool. Escpecially the first half when I still recognised the tunes. (Yeah, I'm old. I've only played the classic Mario games).

Wow! I mean ho hum for the first tracks but when he did the Mario World castle and the final track... wowowowowowo.

Makes me happy knowing I'll be the first person to make a Turrican video like this since nobody knows about it!

    Heh. Turrican.

They used to play that on this kids show called Nick Arcade. Also Act Raiser and a few others.

I've seen this guy before, he's pretty awesome. Turrican was awesome although I only ever played it like once or twice and then could never find it again and didn't know what it was called. Everyone said "Oh, you mean Super Metroid". :(

Edit: BTW if you liked that then you're gonna love this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7dMIESM_p4

Edit 2: Also if there's *one* game that they could make into an epic film, it would be Zelda. As long as they did it right, like a LOTR type epic.

That's so cool, i love Mario music. Even though it's really old it is actually a whole composition of music!

You should hear it being played in a rock band. Look up MiniBosses. They play a bunch of old school game music with guitars and drums and such.

Level 1-3 has never sounded so beautiful.

Probably because I always died there.

Freaking tree pedestal things with their flying duck-turtles.

Minibosses. urgh. In theory they sound good, but give me a guy on piano or an orchestral remix anyday. I remember listening to some Zelda tracks a while ago thinking... "this is Zelda... why is there an electric guitar where a harp should be?".

Now, the F-Zero X: Guitar Arrange album is excellent. whoever made it (Nintendo?).
