    Hey Guys,

Im awaiting delivery of a MBP. Now, ive been using a MB for the last 7 or 8 months, and I love the glossy. When I ordered my MBP, I forgot to add glossy! Now, im not really sure what the screens are like non glossy, so could some people re-assure me that I did the right thing by ordering Matte?

If I get it and I decide I dont like the matte within 14 days, can I return it to an Apple store to get a glossy one (im in UK so no re-stocking fee) or do I need a vaild reason?

The matte screens look amazing and you dont have to worry about glare/reflections. I was leaning towards glossy for a while but ended up ordering the matte MBP also.

Matte screens are amazing. You'll find that the colors aren't as vibrant as on a glossy screen, but the overall quality of the display is much better. And you won't get as much of a headache.

If it hasn't shipped yet, why don't you cancel and order one with the glossy screen?

You will thank yourself for making that mistake if you plan on using the computer in an office/outdoor environment. Also, if you are doing photo work the color is more accurate on the matte screen.

Its already shipped. Yes the glossy is sometimes harsh on the eye although I dont acually see any refelections from where I have it most of the time. I just love the virbrant colours, but I suppose that I can see what the matte is like.

    no worries mate.

the Matte is the way to do.
I love my Macbook... the color and contrast is great.
but I love my Matte Macbook Pro more. The glossy screen
is very nice, but the glossy gets annoying when I'm not doing
    graphic work.

    matte.

My personal feeling is glossy messes with the perceived gamma (contrast). For me, WYSIWYG in photo output (Epson 2200, currently) is very important. I'd like to think that's why it's the default on the pro models, but who knows, for sure ('cept Apple, of course). Also, it seems too "PC" to me. (PC's default gamma is 2.2, versus 1.8 for Mac, so the "snappier" glossy looks like a higher gamma)
