    Hi

I have a late 2008 MBA with 128SSD drive which i love. However running out of space, I opted for a new version 256GB/4GB/2.13CPU. It arrived to day and I have a really unexpected problem.

The left/right click bar on my old MBA is totally silent, so when sitting in the lounge of an evening I do not disturb anyone. The new MBA now has a definite and quite loud 'click' on both left and right. I assume its because the button is now incorporated in the trackpad. However I really annoyed my family tonight when using the new MBA every time I clicked. I know that I can tap the trackpad to select an object, but that tapping is almost as bad.

    My two questions:
    1. Does this happen on everyone's new MBA
    2. Is it possible to replace the 128GB SSD on my existing MBA with a 256GB one?

    Thanks
    A

Just use tap to click. You can set it up in the system preferences, totally silent. And yes it is possible to upgrade your SSD in you old MBA.

+1 on Tap to Click - even though the OP already mentioned they were using it. I can't fathom how tap to click could be loud at all - in fact the push to click is loud(ish) but even typing is almost as loud.

re: Upgrade... I don't know of a 256GB upgrade for the RevC MBA. The only upgrades I know of are RunCore SSDs, and they only go up to 128GB.
