It is good to see Apple taking some actions about this whine.
I would like this problem to be solved by the time Merom chips ship with MBPs.
It's good to know that something is being done to fix some of these problems. I know it's restoring my consumer confidence, which will influence my next purchase with Apple
Yeah, and I would assume the same sort of progression would carry over to Macbooks.
Humm, I would like to get this taken of on my MBP.
This sounds good!
Luckily I have to go in to get my logic board and display fixed anyway... (due to different reasons, not whining).
I'm sending in mine to get the keyboard & logic board replaced...but it is a 1.83 GHz so I wonder if these 'new' logic boards are made in the 1.83 GHz deal thingy too.
Horray, I can now buy the upcoming speedbump with greater confidence!
I hope this new logic board has reached Denmark . . .
My MacBook Pro is quite the whiner but I survive. Could sure live without it though
But Denmark has excellent blue-cheese and crackers to go with the wine!
Indeed...remember our women too
Yes! Way to go Apple. Glad to see they recognized a problem AND decided to fix it!! I can't wait for the new MBP's so i can FINALLY get mine.
After sending my MBP in for the second time a couple of weeks back, I got the new logic board. My MBP has just a slight whine now (almost non-existent), which is a far cry from where it was originally. The heat is also better, although not by much, but I've never been bothered by the heat so that's just a bonus.
