    Hi guys,
I'm sure that this question has been asked but I couldn't find anything that answered all my questions... i'm planning to buy an MBP C2D at the end of the month and want to use it for casual gaming, although the games can be quite demanding... how well does the 128MB X1600 handle games? $2500 is a bit too much for me, I would much rather buy the 15" 2.16GHz, upgrade its HD and then spend the rest on accessories and software.

So, to sum it up, how well do games run with the 128MB X1600, and is there a significant difference between it and the 256MB card in terms of performance?

Games run very well on my iMac, that has an X1600 too. 128mb and runs Doom 3, Quake 4 and especially HL2 very well indeed.

well if you can go for the 256mb. But i have the 2.0ghz core duo with 128mb x1600 and i can run games good enough on it. HL2 runs perfect at native res. But dont expect anything brilliant. Its not a gaming laptop.
