    What are the system requirements?

Oh, and, aholden12592, not to sound patronizing, but instead of always asking us if something will run, check the system requirements and if it requires a graphics card (NOT integrated) then it'll either run slowly or not at all on a MacBook. Does wonders for our time and yours, too. :)

I wondered about Med2 on MBP as well...have an earlier post about it. Although I've checked the specs, I'm still not sure. Is the MBP vid card DirectX 9.0c compatible? (think so but cant see for sure?)

it also says you need a directx sound card...cant find any information about hte sound card at all. i assume the sound card will be at the same level as the graphics, but...

any thoughts would be much appreciated.

And OP: I'm pretty sure it won't run on the macbook :( sorry dude. Its possible that it will run a bit, but I think the macbook will struggle, cos med2 seems to be fairly graphics intensive

Both the MacBook and MacBook Pro are DX9c compatible.

and aholden, I've checked too, and they haven't been released yet, so your question is unanswerable, almost, without knowing the engine Med2 is based off of.

I just got this off of http://www.totalwar.com

The minimum system requirements for Medieval II are:

    English version of Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP.
    Celeron 1.8GHz Pentium 4® (1500MHz) or equivalent AMD® processor.
    512MB RAM.
8x Speed DVD-ROM drive (1200KB/sec sustained transfer rate) and latest drivers.
11.0 Gigs of uncompressed free hard disk space.
100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers.
100% Windows® 2000/XP compatible mouse, keyboard and latest drivers.
    DirectX® 9.0c.
128MB Hardware Accelerated video card with Shader 1 support and the latest drivers.
    Must be 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible.
Monitor must be able to display 1024x768 resolution or above.

    Multiplayer:

Internet (TCP / IP) play supported, internet play requires broadband connection and latest drivers, LaN play requires Network card.

Important Note: Some cards may not be compatible with the 3D acceleration features utilised by Medieval II: Total War. Please refer to your hardware manufacturer for 100% DirectX® 9.0c compatibility.

Rome was and is still a beast in terms of resources as it pushes my 2footer with 256vram and 2gb ram

11gb space? faaaaaaaaarrrrrrrqqqq. guess that 20gb windows partition will barely be enough for med2, hl2, let alone the rest....
