Memory Model/Brand in MacBook /iMac

Does anyone know the Brand and model memory that Apple uses in their MacBook/iMac (Intel) I know that they are PC2-5300, but no other specs are listed on their site. I am coming from the PC world, where when you add memory it is best to add the same brand and model for stability reasons...
