how does Power Nap sync messages?
Does it sync it so that when you wake the mac, all messages are already there?
On my Macbook Air, all the messages sent from my iPhone will pour in when I wake my Mac.

Is this how it's supposed to work?
I was under the assumption that all my messages should already be synced the moment i wake my Mac

nah it doesn't really respond to the question.

I have the same question, I dont even know if power nap is working on my computer cause it's not liked messages were synched during the sleep time, I get like 40 notifications of new message in 20 seconds...! It's weird..

I'm currently on the latest Yosemite public beta. My Messages don't sync while my mac is asleep for any amount of time, despite Power Nap being turned on in Power settings. I've tried it plugged in and running off of the battery.

It's either a bug in Yosemite beta, or they haven't built support into Messages. I don't see it listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5394?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
