no MSN messenger for mac will not allow video, your best bet would be to either use yahoo, or have your friend get AIM, which is free as well, you can video chat using iChat and AIM with no problems

    Gone but not forgotten.
No video with MSN Messenger for Mac. Yahoo! Messenger supports video chat and iChat AV/AIM v5.5 and up for Windows also support video chat.

Well..... not every one has luck making iChat and AIM work... so Its best to say you can TRY iChat and AIM to video chat and hope it works as it does for some and hope you're not like most out there that have trouble with it.

Don't forget Mercury... it's a alternative MSN Messenger client that has a video chat feature planned.

Don't forget the mini does not have an audio-in port. You will have to buy a USB audio adapter like this if your cam has no built in mic.
