I'm looking for an inexpensive microphone to use with my mac pro while running Skype in Win XP under Boot Camp. I have an iSight cam, but it it's mic is not supported under Windows. I tried a small mic I bought some time ago for my PC laptop, but it does not work. Apparently the mic has to be self-powered to work on a Mac Pro!

Darn it, I hate answering my own question! It looks like, until someone at Apple decides to write a Windows driver for the iSight, the only way to get an inexpensive ($20-$30) mic on a Mac Pro is to buy an USB mic.

OK, how many of my own questions do I need to answer to get promoted to demigod status?

I'm not looking to record anything, so quality is not my top concern. All I need is a mic that I can use with Skype while I'm in Boot Camp.

Logitech have a desktop USB mic which is pretty cheap. It's also got an illuminated kill switch on it (on = mic on) which is good. Look on their site.
