    Whats wrong with you!
An interesting ploy by MS, seems similar to "All I want for Christmas is my PSP" blog, only a little more offensive.

    Whats wrong with you MS........

    But liek omgwtf, d00dz!

I don't think vBulletin supports me using enough  smilies to convey my feelings toward this attempt at marketing. Good Japanese games... that's similar in rivalries to calling Europe "Franceland"

Crap advertising is crap advertising regardless of who's doing it.

Lets face it Sony have their fair share too. Look at the PS3 baby commercial. Or where they insulted a whole ethnic minority with their White Versus Black advertising campaign that caused outrage here in UK & Ireland.

Ad men get it wrong - more often than they get it right.

Agreed, not trying to argue that others don't......but to come right out and ask the consumer; "Whats wrong with you?"
Doesn't seem like a very productive way of getting more users.

Actually if you follow the advertising - what it is is not so much a campaign as a market research excercise.

Its asking eastern audiences what it is they want on the machine albeit in a cack handed way.

You click on the link and it asks what you want, you then input your email.
It seems very much like Microsoft is trying to work out why they arent peforming well in the east, and despite their awful way of going about it, you have to at least commend them for trying to fix how they are percieved to the eastern audience.

Maybe the 'what's wrong with you' thing was completely lost in translation.

Yes, but a more proficient question would have been: "Whats wrong with us."
Its not the consumers fault, its Microsoft's fault......why would there be anything wrong with the consumer?

Yeah exactly. I mean it's only an S short.

Actually its probably a case that whatswrongwithus.com is already registered, so they dropped the S at the end.

Still stupid way of achieving their means.
