I was wondering if anyone has a mighty mouse and has used it for gaming (esp. FPS), and what were their thoughts on it?

A reviewer on Anaantech wasn't overly estastic with the Mighty Mouse and games... but he did admit to his prefrences about gaming so its a case of using the Mouse before you buy it.

The mouse movements are all fine. There is a problem if you want to play a game that requires left click and hold then right click. This is not possible with Mighty Mouse.

The scroll ball is a bit too sensitive as well when it comes to choosing weapons in FPS's.

Thanks for the info, I had 3 of them on order from Streetwise Software here in Melbourne, I cancelled the order as soon as I read this. This was the same thing I hated about my 2 The Mouse mice.

Bought a MM over the weekend from the new Apple store in Bluewater (nice store btw!). Tried it out with Enemy Territory and Jedi Knight:Outcast when i got home and i didn't have any probs at all.

Nice mouse. Will buy a BT version when they come out, too. Keep 'em coming Apple! :)

Apple would do everything to keep Mac users away from 2 button mice...

Has anyone tried it with World of Warcraft? That's the only game I play nowadays and every other click is a right-click.

Are there many games that require you to hold the left button and then right click (and visa verse) or is it just UT2004?

Besides not been able to click both buttons at the same time, are there any other drawbacks to gaming with the Mighty Mouse?

I'm currently using an Apple Bt mouse, but definately need a two button mouse - I'm torn between Mighty Mouse and the MS Phillip Starck mouse.

I don't play UT much, but you should be able to customize it.

Yep, I could care less about the translocator but the rocket launcher right left click is necessary. Although, come to think of it, I use the shock rifle most of the time anyway. :D

Get the vagina mouse. The fact that Apple removed some functionality of the buttons is just stupid - besides - the vagina mouse is cheaper, and it looks like a vagina.

I was considering the vagina mouse, but I like my vaginas with two legs attached, and not a cable....

I purchased the Phillip Starck mouse on Monday.
It works great - and looks pretty neat next to my powerbook.

Its was also half the price of the Mighty Mouse, which is only going to be released here at the end of September....

Patience is not one of my virtues....

For general use I've found the Mighty Mouse better, but for gaming I've had to switch back to my Logitech MX700.
