    okay, that's a misleading title if i've ever seen one. the school board is up for election, with a few write in's. and people aren't upset that they're buying macs, but that they're buying laptops at all...

    but i guess that doesn't draw as much attention to the story?

    Misleading somewhat, but…

    I'm glad the article appeared. I live in Stillwater, Minnesota. I've noticed signs around town for the write-in candidates. Now, I better know how to vote tomorrow. A big complaint, apparently, is that the program is only involving one school. They (those opposed) feel it is unfair to the other schools in the county. There is problem with this line of thinking. Whenever you're attempting an experiment for research purposes (which Apple is puportedly doing), you cannot include the entire population. Unless, of course, the town/county you're doing it in has a very small student body. Our school district is the third largest in the state, behind Minneapolis and St. Paul, I believe.
