Missing apps?

I'm considering an iPad, and I've noted that some key apps from my Dad's iPhone (Clock, compass, calculator, stocks, weather, etc.) are missing. What are good free replacements? Is apple ever going to offer these for the iPad?

the iPad has been around for more than a year and the stock apps you mentioned have never been included on either version of the iPad. at this point they probably will never be added.

here is my list of replacement apps:
Stocks - Bloomberg
Weather - Intellicast
Clock - Nightstand
Compass - why anyone would need a compass or navigate with an iPad is beyond me
Calculator - haven't need one, so haven't downloaded one

I would expect the stocks and weather apps might get added by iOS 5 as these are used to supply the data for the notification area widgets...
