Sad. He was one of those actors I would watch no matter what role he played.

Thanks, Peter, for all the hours you entertained us. You'll be missed.

One of the comments below the article was incredibly tacky yet hilarious.

In reference to Mr. Graves: "He must've had the fish."

    Well said.

    Snort! :D

Enjoyed many of his movies and of course Mission Impossible.

He will be missed, but his legacy will live on.

Didn't realize that James Arness (Marshal Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke) was his older brother.

    RIP Mr. Phelps.

    Graves in the grave

Good mourning Mr. Phelps. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to enjoy the afterlife. As always, should you be resurrected, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.

Mission:Impossible and Airplane are a funny combination to be remembered by. He also hosted the Biography TV show. I like that he wasn't afraid to make fun of himself.

Graves didn't think much of the Mission:Impossible movie and neither did I. He didn't like that Jim Phelps had been turned into a bad guy. I didn't like that they changed the great theme song from 5/4 to 4/4.
