MobileMe & iCloud on Snow Leopard

I just set up my @me account on my iPhone (iOS 5) then turned on calendars, contacts etc.

I went to my Mac to set up the MobileMe user name under my account but the "Set" button is greyed out:

aBm6+


This account is bound to Active Directory - not sure that matters? Do I need Lion to get MobileMe connectivity via Mac?
