Can anyone please recommend a decent Monitor Calibration hardware/software package for around $100.

I have a iMac and a external monitor whose colors are both a little off.

    Thanks

    EDIT:
Please only respond with actual hand on type recomendations. I am looking for 1st hand experiences not search results from google, Thanks!

I'm looking for more hands on type recommendations.

A little more than "should work"

also why would it work any differently on the iMac?

Sorry, hadn't read the system requirements and wasn't sure if the software they had would be compatible. Just read them & it will work fine with the iMac & you're external LCD. Sorry, the reason I didn't say any more was you just asked for a software/hardware package under $100 and I posted one. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks for the response, but like I said I am looking for first hand experience not just a price search.

Look into Spider. Pantone might make it. At my last job I had to calibrate a bunch of monitors. It was easy to do. Not sure on the price though.

Thanks for the reply, but as I stated I am looking at around $100.

    Macworld’s buying advice:
"Pantone’s huey is a good product for photography hobbyists who are just getting started in color management. It is affordable, easy to use, and fast. Its ability to continually adjust a monitor for changes in room lighting make it even more attractive."
