I haven't enjoyed a MK game since they went 3D. I miss the old 2D style. But meh. I might get this. 60 characters is a lot.

Remember first playing a demo of Mortal Kombat when I was 9 :) then I bought it (in one of those HUGE old Amiga boxes), spent months playing it. Got MK2 on Amiga. Then 3 on my Mega Drive. Fantastic.

Smoke! "Toaaasteee" haha. Oh he was top. I found some codes, sorry, Kodes to unlock the boss fighters in MK3. That was top.

aw good memories! I really hope this next game is just bloody awesome. I would absolutely love for it to go out on a huge bang entertaining the old farts like me and the new graphics whores (who frankly, would only play Pong if the paddles and ball had 13 levels of textures with 16x AA in 1080p).

Agree with you all, hated the Mortal Kombat 3D fighting games... They were all terrible. They seem stuck with 2D special moves, but don't know how to take them into the 3D environment.

I think a more combat based game like DOA4 - that fluidity of movement & graphical flare on a MK game would be sweet.

    Sure to be consoles only.

though if they want to go out on a bang then a huge user base is probably a great idea. Get it out on as many systems as possible.

I'd love to spout obscenities but I'm going to have to repeat the age old saying to this part of the forums; It's a mac AND console gaming board.

Yea they have that but from what i heard it sucked. I want them to focus on a 2D MK but with the midway classic they were more concern with the overall games.

Anybody ever try playing games on a linux box? i just installed Fedora Core 4 on my PC lappy.

Oh and Raggedjimmi gave you the million dollar answer to that age old question.:)

    Bless
