Nice phone but...

The V3 looks awesome inside and out but Motorola handsets are not the best. On the V3, the buttons look great but can be a pain, the interface makes you tear your hair out and the camera resolution (0.3MP) is terrible for such a pricey unit. It's definitely a case of style over substance and if your switching from another make andyou intend to use it heavily, you may find you need the patience of a saint to get used to it. I know one guy who has already gone back to his old Moto from a V3 and my girlfriend is only mildy pleased with hers. The looks are saving it for her though and it does look quality.

Personally, if you're in the market for a new phone, the Sony Ericsson K750i (reviewed well at http://www.infosync.net ) is the one I'd go for. Not quite as slick but a way way better phone overall. Also - the V3 is due to be updated heavily in the 3Q of 2005...
