Moving apps from old Mac to new Mac

I have a MBP which has served as my only computer for several years and therefore has all my productivity apps such as Lightroom 4 installed on it. If I buy a 5k iMac and want to start doing all my photography work on there instead, is it possible to uninstall all my apps from the MBP and reinstall them on the iMac?

I bought Lightroom from Adobe and installed it from a download. Other apps I have include Microsoft Office.

Assuming you still have the registration information, sure you can just reinstall and register the apps on the new Mac.

That will save having to reinstall, but you would still need to reregister the apps. Adobe and MS Office apps are really bad about this. They pickup the UUID of the new hardware and then require reactivation.

Does Lightroom V.4 still work with El Capitan?
Or will you also need to upgrade your Lightroom app?
