Hey group. I'm a newbie here, so patience would be appreciated if this has been answered before. I've downloaded a couple of short .mpeg files that I want to combine, then transfer to a dvd that would play on any dvd player. What is the process to do this? Thanks a bunch! Kevin

1. Take Clips
2. Open iMovie
3. Drag Clips into iMovie
4. Drag Clips into iMovie timeline
5. Click Share than Send to iDVD
6. iDVD Opens (set the picture, theme and whatnot to what you would like)
7. Insert Blank DVD (Select open iDVD when the menu pops up)
8. Click Burn
9. Wait
10. Enjoy your DVD :)

How to merge clips and export them to a DVD in 10 simple steps! (Cause I streched it :p)

Good Luck and Welcome to MR!

thanks, but...

Turns out problem is the .mpeg is not the the correct format...it will play on a VLC player, not quicktime. So now I gotta find a converter that will switch it to the proper format, then go to your patented 10-step process (smile!). Any
help there? I'm nearly there!

http://isquint.org iSquint should do the trick...converts almost any video file into .mp2 and h.264...both of which work perfectly with iMovie....now I just gotta find a .bin extractor....the search continues
