MPlayer has always worked well for me, but on my intel mac it's not running well at all. Files are either slowed down or sped up. Sometimes its slightly faster and tolerable, but sometimes it's like, complete slow motion.

Anyone know a fix or have an alternate software solutions for video?

I tried flip 4 mac, and it keeps telling me i need to have quicktime version #.## (cant remember) to install it....but i have a version way later than that....so i don't know whats up with that.

Afaik, neither MPlayer or Flip4Mac are out as Intel binaries.
Which mean MPlayer will run trough Rosetta (ppc emulator), so it might not run as expected. This is most probably why Flip4Mac wont install as well...

I suggest you give the VideoLAN Client experimental Intel build a try:

I am not sure if these links still work, but someone has built an experimental x86 build of MPlayer 2 (I much prefer version 1, but I will take what I can get). It works well, but playlist is broken and it repeats the video clip once.
