Mr. Fred Rogers, "Mister Rogers" passed away from cancer today at his Pittsburgh residence. He was 74.

So sad. He meant so much to so many of us. :(

    Very sad, indeed.

He was a very special man who meant a lot to children everywhere. He will be sorely missed.

What a shame. A great show, a great man. I learned so much from him and his show.

i heard a really good obituary for him today...(i have to paraphrase)

...he is survived by 650,000,000 children, including Grover, Big Bird, Barney, Dipsy, la la, Poe, Tinky Winky...

the effect he had was amazing. he will be missed.

The world lost one of its best today. May his life and work forever stand as a shining example to the rest of us.

I just found out and I have tears in my eyes. I grew up watching him and he did mean a lot to me... it's sad. I wonder what the funeral plans are, I'd like to pay my respects.
