MRAM Anyone?

    I've recently seen this article about MRAM (magnetoresistive random access memory) technology that is six times faster and less power hungry than static RAM. You can find it on,1282,59559,00.html
    Seeing as this technology is developed by IBM, could this mean that this technology could be on Apple's before PC's?

    I think I saw an article on this somewhere else, not sure where.

    Its definitely cool - shutting down you computer would be a snap - the current config would be saved in the memory, since its magnetic and booting up would be like turning on a light switch.

    Not that I would need that.....running Folding@home I've got the machines on 24 hrs a day.....but the speed increase is always nice ;)

    Yes, hopefully Apple will get it first. It won't happen, of course. :(

    And quick(er) start-up = YAY!! :D
