A buddy of mine is considering moving to a Mac. He has many many questions, most of which I've been able to answer except for this one...

Can he go to MSN.com and play some of the games on there? I assume most of them are java/flash driven, and Safari wouldn't have problems with them, would it? If so, could he use IE?

Let me know if you have any knowledge of this - thanks!

I have not tried them, but games that are designed well for multiple platforms should work. I have noticed some sites will not work properly in Safari. The Mac version of IE will usually handle those sites much better. Sites that were created with MS specific software such as Frontpage tend to cause the most problems. MS unfortunately designs these applications to hook into MS products, so are not always standards compliant. The old MS version of Java is one such example.

thanks for the quick response! My wife is dropping the iBook off here at work for me, and I'm going to hop online with it and show my buddy. Hopefully it'll work.
