    Hi everyone,

I am a long time windows user. I recently aquired a Macbook and start to loving OS X. My friends are mostly using MSN and I would like to do video conferencing with them.

I tried to use aMSN in OS X. However, I am behind a router and I cannot find out how to forward port in a Japanese router firmware, which means the video conferencing option is pretty much disabled.

I tried to get Jabber with iChat, but the Jabber servers are really slow.

As far as I know, MSN Messenger 6.0 for OS X does not support video conferencing.

I was wondering if anyone can suggest an alternative for me.

    Thanks,
    Kalun

Skype now has a beta version of video for mac

I've been using it for a month or so and found it to be very good for video chat. Obviously this also requires that the other person has Skype too but it has the advantage of being able to call and recieve calls from real phones.

As far as I know, neither Mercury nor aMSN support bi-directional video conferencing in OS X. They both support webcam. But in MSN those two things are different.

I found the ref for Mercury:

So if you can get your partners to switch to anything else, you're probably better off than on MSN... :(
