I think you need to perhaps give a little more detail on the type of thing you are looking for.

Game, News, Magazine, Music, Social Networking, work processing.

If games, do you like Action, Puzzle, Board, Turn based strategy etc etc.

If you could perhaps focus your question a little I'm certain many here will be able to recommend many excellent titles to try. :)

    EA Games

Go to the App store and the featured games are on the main screen.
Just bought 5 games that were originally $9.99 a piece, marked down to a reasonable .99 cents. So spend $5 instead of $50 for some well thought out games is worth it.

    Madden NFL
    Snood
    Need for speed- Shift
    Scrabble
    Reckless Racing

    Check it out

Flipboard is my favourite iPad app and Apple recently named it the "App of the Year", and it's free.

A great puzzle game is called "Drawn Tower" or something like that. I highly recommend it! Just search Drawn in the search bar and look for the word tower in the results. You can't miss it.

unfortunately, Apple in their infinite wisdom has not yet seen fit to make iPhoto available for the iPad.

Maybe they are saving it for the iPad 2 at this point. They gotta give you a reasons to upgrade.
