Definately a point and shoot digital camera for when you are just out and about - sooooo useful. And to go with it - one of those new SD cards that fold and turn into a USB drive, WOW ;)

    Hahahaha Ok :D

My phone is essential to my social life, so I can't live without that.

I'm on my iMac alot, and err, its, err ... helpful with school (Pages+office) so its beneficial and I need it ;) Other than that I just love messing around with it

My iPod(s) are the music in my ears. If I lived by myself I would hear about 2x as much music as I do now, but now I am able to listen to almost everything I want to when I want to.

Also my headphones (Senn HD497) as I am a bit of an audiophile, well, I guess I just love great audio and my Sony EX71's for noise cancelling on the move.

    :D

You have an iPod and an iPod shuffle? Just curious, why both?

well I wasn't the original poster, but I agree with him. I have a 30GB ipod and a 512MB shuffle.

I use the 30 in my car, at work and docked into my stereo at home.

I use the shuffle when I'm working out or in a scenario where I'm afraid I might break it...

Lots of people have both, including me. I use the shuffle for school, running, and when I'm working outside; or in a place my regular iPod could be easily damaged.

I would like a shuffle because they're sooo small and pretty cheap online. However, I'm scared I would never use my 3g ipod again! I will definitely get one once they come with BLUETOOTH EARBUDS *cough, steve, cough*

Imagine...Grab your shuffle sitting next to your PowerBook (which has wirelessly synched with bluetooth while you were in the shower), hit play, and shove it in the bottom of your backpack. Now pop in your bluetooth buds and jump on your bike with no wires to contend with! Now that, to me, is technological bliss! :D

I wonder how many people are going to say iPod?

    iPod!
    Computer (preferably a Mac)
    Mobile Phone
    A TV with DVD Player
Some sort of Stereo or HI - FI

---- Nifty but not necessarily necessary ----

Hand held GPS unit ( haven't found any Mac compatible ones, but i recently bough a Garmin GPSMap76S, pretty cool :) )
    Leatherman mulit tool (sweet)
What about night vision? That is nifty but not necessarily necassary!?

    I'll think of some more.
