i'll forego the debate about whether this was worth a new thread and say it's good to have another fairly senior member! i myself made it into the top 25 posters the other day ;).

i like your 'tar too, it looks neat. but i wonder too what it is?

    Im 15th! :D. I didn't realize how high up I was.

btw, I think it is perfectly fine for a person to post that they
reached 500 posts. It is a (fairly) big accomplishment.

    Congrats, once again. :)

    thanks guys!!!

yeah i had a hard time convincing myself to start this thread cause i know it is kinda useless...and i usually do my best to stay away from useless posting but i thought what the heck, might as well.

anyway my tar is one of the monsters from the book "where the wild things are" one of my favorite books when i was a little kid. if you havn't read it READ IT. its just a short kids picture book, just a few sentences per page. but its cool.

I KNEW THAT LOOKED FAMILIAR!!! I love that book! I used to
read it every night when I was little. My dad would read it
to me sometimes, and make growling noises, and in the 'scary
parts' he would grab me and growl. Good memories. I haven't
read it in a long time though. It would be interesting to do so. :D

By Maurice Sendak, right? We have the book somewhere in the house, but we have a lot of books so I'm not going to go look for it. I remember reading an article about the book. It said that many parents thought the book was too weird and scary for kids, but that most kids connect with it because it's about overcoming fear.

My geekiness shines true when you learn how I got my name.
Well, There are 2 parts to my name:
    sc and em0
    starcraft + Emerson = starcraftemo = scem0

Emerson is my real name, Emo is a nickname ;).
    And, no, I was never spam0. :D:D:D

it seems like you take and spend enough time here to make 500 posts you should be able to make your own thread just once like a Bah Mitzvah (sp?) of sorts or a sweet sixteen party.

    spam0 - oh so appropriate...;)

and yes, this really isn't something all that worthy of posting - however, I'm a big fan of Where The Wild Things Are - loved that book when I was a kid. That and Dr. Seuss

Nice choice of a 'tar howard :D
