iPod my ipod touch is busted?

okay, so this is weird - i can't get my ipod touch to charge or work to sync on the computer...i've tried several cords and outlets....but nothing...

it's so strange and very frustrating - anyone else have this issue?

well, its weird -cuz the battery was empty - i plugged it in and now it's full - HOWEVER, it doesn't show that screen with the green battery nor does it come up on the computer when it's plugged in?
