Its a white Macbook. Intel 2 GHZ core duo. 2006 model.
I tried all the basic reset stuff after searching many forums.
I push the power button and the screen stays black. Only the white indicator light on the front stays on solid white. No chime, no flash on the screen. I removed the memory to see if that would cause any beeping error and nothing. I have to hold the power button for 5 seconds or so to get the light to turn off. I even installed a new hard drive and again... Nothing...
Any suggestions on what to try or is a trip to the apple store in my future?

I guess I should also add that I have tried to insert my OSX cd and the drive wont take it.
