excellent! thanks for the benches! congrats on your purchase!

so, does it FEEL fast? I mean, numbers are one thing, but how does it run in the real world? And does your heart skip a beat every time you sit down in front of it?

I'm sure you're having a great time with it! Hopefully, excessive time with your new best friend won't make your grades drop too much. ;)

I'm thinking about a dualie, so maybe I'll join you in computing nirvana soon.

Well, considering that my old computer was a p3 600mhz and an ibook 700. This thing is freaking fast. I am still waiting for the delivery of my second moniter from formac. I have been working on a layout in indesign and I just keep the previews of the images at full resolution and everything works without a hickup.

I am really looking forward to panther to see what this machine can really do. I just hope that I am able to get panther at a discount since I just purchased this machine this week.

Speaking of this computer, it is really heavy. I guess that happens when you have it made out of metal.

I just X-benched my new 1.8 GHz G5, also with 1.5 GB RAM. Overall, I got 135.98. The rest of the results are here: listed under "gamow"
