Whenever I download and try to play quicktime over 20mb or so, my quicktime won't let me see more than thirty seconds of it. The file is there taking up space on my drive, but I just can't watch it. Anyone know why this is and what I can do about it?

"The file is there taking up space..." vs. "my quicktime won't play movies over 20mb" (added emphasis)

What's the extension of the file (i.e. the letters that come after the period in the file name)?
If you have .avi or .mpg, then you may have a corrupt file. Especially if you have an MPEG file, then you might not have downloaded all of the packets in the right order from the host of that file. (Quite common with P2P MPEG files or MPEG files that haven't been downloaded completely.)

Does this issue persist with EVERY file over 20MB, including those that end in .mov?

It happens with every file over 20 mb. The file extension is .mpg

I don't believe the file is corrupt because that does happen to some files but not the ones I'm having this problem with.

They're p2p files and they will play as they are downloading. Until they get to the 20 mb line they will play the full file, sometimes as long as a minute or two. then when it crosses the 20 mb line I can only view thirty seconds of the file.
