I don't blame them.. these old farts living in the 19th Century running those Music Companies who think the internet is an evil that will destroy their businesses.

Oh well, I'll keep on downloading music from P2P networks... all legal of course (Legal in Canada)

However, his remarks about music execs should keep away from apple because it limits consumer choice.

    Load of sh?t.

iPods are the most popular music player... the consumer have spoken. Due to this, Napster should be supporting AAC and be asking Apple to license fairplay (apple owned)

    Angry napster

Aw isn't that just terrible that Napster should be upset because they lose money to illegal downloading. How sweetly ironic. This guy sounds like the devil incarnate himself!!

Had to do a double take ...

Analyst are predicting Napster to do $110 million in their first year ending in April?

    1) The writer must have ment Apple as iTunes Music Store launched last April and Napster came along several monthes later.

    or

    2) The analysts are smoking weed and are so high they have no clue.

BTW: Does anyone know how any of the other online music services are doing compared to iTMS? The only numbers I've heard are when Steve announce 30 million downloads. I guess the other guys are too ashamed to announce their numbers.

    $110 million?

If that is true iTMS is toast! The numbers don't add up: if this were true, Chris Gorog would have been trumpeting this 'news' weeks ago.
Hopefully the MacDonalds' Meal Deal will come through for Apple...

Everybody keeps implying that 1998 Napster and 2004 Napster are somehow related, when in fact, they are not.

2004 Napster = Roxio trying to snatch some brand recognition.

    1998 Napster = dead & burried.

    500k tracks = iTMS
    500k tracks = Nap(only through Sub. serv.)

    iTMS>Nap.

iTMS should be hitting 40million DL soon...probably in the first or second week of Feb.

Chris is pissed because he know SJ is beating him in the US and will soon beat him overseas as well. **He probably just
found out iTMS has import albums now**

As long as iTunes and Napster get whatever the hell approval at the same time. If they give the nod to Napster not Apple for a while after that we know there's some dancy politics going on.
