alright so im trying out this napster thing. Free 14 day trial. Anyone know the difference between downloading an album or buying an album works with them? I thought its only $10 or 15 a month no matter how much you download?

You pay for a monthly subscription $10-$15, and then if you like an album, and want to keep it forever, you can pay an additional fee, similar to the iTMS prices for songs and albums.

I believe you can still buy the songs if you want too. And some songs might just be purchase only too. Are they?

ahh ok, so it offers both then. 1 million downloads for a monthly fee and pay per song like itunes on top of your monthy fee. is this correct?

Or...do the 14-day trial...download the whole entire catalouge...then convert them to unprotected wavs and BAM!

The big difference is if you stop paying your subscription, you lose all of the songs that you haven't bought at the extra charge.

"*It is necessary to maintain a Napster subscription in order to continue access to songs downloaded through the Napster service."

In otherwords, subscription downloading an album vs. buying an album is more like a rental vs. a purchase.
