Many people don't realize that the Titanic carried cargo as well as passengers. Further, they don't know that the next port of call after New York City was to have been Vera Cruz, Mexico. The Titanic had as cargo the annual supply of Heilmann's Mayonaise for Mexico; that condiment was dear to the hearts and palates of millions.

The failure to arrive at the scheduled time led to that national day of mourning, now known as Sinko de Mayo.

    Buenas noches,

    'Rat
