As I sit here in my living room watching the evening news on television, I have often wondered why each network has the same story and broadcast their stories in the exact same sequence, often within a minute of each other.

I'm flipping through the channels trying to find the news I want to hear, when they're all the same. What the hell?

because there's a formula to the nightly news. one piece of which is, "leave them hopeful." note how the last item before sign-off is always some kind of cutesy or human interest story.

Its for ratings, the top story is first then they go down the line until they get to the human interest stuff then the light and fluffy.

Silly, if you want real news there's only three places to get it. FOX, The Washington Times, and Drudge. Everyone else out there is biased, dontcha know. ;)

They're all biased. :p I try to watch all of them, because they're always contradicting and attacking each other. It's easier to see the bigger picture that way.

And here I thought this thread was referring to the reality tv dribble they insist on shoving down all our throats.

Not to be picky Ben, but the misuse of the word "dribble" for the word "drivel" is killing me. :) There's a difference. ;)

    Sorry for the hijack. :)
