    Ok, here is the setup:

I have a linksys BEFW11S4 with the wireless signal disabled. Plugged into the 4 port switch on the BEFW11S4 I have connected a WAP11 (v.2.2). All of my wireless computers can connect to this signal fine (get on internet etc). However, I need to extend the signal further. I have another WAP11 (v.2.6) which I have upgraded so that I can get the repeater function.

My problem is that when connected to this repeater I dont get the internet etc. Its acting on its own.

Each Access Point has its own IP address. Both Access points are working - can connect to either. MAC address of first access point has been inputted into second access point.

Any ideas of how you setup this repeater function??

    Appreciate any ideas.

    Thanks

Are you using WEP? If so, I believe the key has to be the same on both AP's.

Also, the channel has to be the same as well for repeating to work.
