so i just switched recently and i used to use a program called winrar... what's a good program that i can use on my mac to compress and decompress files? thanks in advance.

Zipping & unzipping is built in to OS X. Control- or right-click a file or a bunch of files & choose Make archive from the contextual menu. To unzip, just double-click the file.
