I laid out a business plan for a new idea of mine. This time, I'm not saying what the product is (per-say) but I'm struggling with figuring out names for the product. It's a case for electronics, starting with iOS devices but will be expanding to a far greater line of phones in the future. The original name I thought of "unicase" was taken by another company and I don't want to get sued for using it. Plus, companies like Otterbox and LifeProof have original names, without the word "case" in the name. Suggestions? Been brainstorming all day.

So if we ignore the fact that you're likely seriously jumping the gun by trying to name your product already, you want us to come up with a name for something you won't tell us about?

You really need to design and prototype your case before you think of a name.

    Analogy or truth?

    ----------

Draft designs, do some R&D, make prototypes (probably a lot of 'em), market the product/get investors - full launch.

Oh what? It's hard to tell if someone's being sarcastic if you can't see them or their facial expressions/inflections.

Reason being, I don't want people to know about this one, in depth. Whenever I go in depth and people hate the idea, I end up not doing anything with it.

    ----------

    Not a bad strategy...

Why MR? The least amount of trolls I've ever seen on a forum. I don't need trolls...

If you think that we have been hating your ideas, you need to re-read our comments.

So, what does this actually entail then? 'Do some R&D' - what will you actually do? It's not like you press a button and bam! R&D done.
You seem to mention this in a lot of your business 'ideas', yet I haven't actually seen what your research involves.

Well, we're getting there. If your research says your target market don't like the product, why bother?

    Expanding on my Idea

I figure I might as well get suggestions on the case idea I had a few days ago. I'm still expanding on the features and starting schematics. Honest opinions and what would you pay for it?

The idea was a phone/tablet case. The market is highly popular and getting saturated. I want to get in before the competition is too high. Features:
    Soft-touch aluminum finish
    Kickstand
    Scratch-resistant layer (spray-on)
    RFID protection
    Credit card slot
    Made in USA
    Engraving possible
    360 degree protection
    Thin, lightweight
    Different colors available
Unibody (all one piece, nothing is separated.
    Switch to open/close case

Once I get schematics up, I'll update this post.

I want to call it UniShield. I'll probably use KickStarter if it's feasible. I know it won't be easy, but it's the idea I'm loving the most. Honest suggestions/opinions?
