I started doing the NeHe OpenGL tutorials on gamedev and I noticed that they made new tutorials! So I quickly clicked on the link and they said it was all in SDL. I was like, "Wow that's great!" But then when I looked at the source code I was REALLY confused. I know C++ but I could not read that code to save my life! They started code blocks by saying "class:" and I've never seen that before. Not only that but almost all the statements make no sense. I have already figured out how to compile all the tutorials using the Linux/SDL version of the code on my Mac. My question is, am I missing out on any features or anything if I am coding in straight C using the old tutorials? And am I able to implement the newer opengl 3.0 features while using C?
