I ordered my 15" PB on the 27th and it shipped on the 29th. (1.5GHz 15", Superdrive, 1x512MB RAM, the others are standard stuff). Sadly, I wanted it to ship LATER because I wanted to change my order to get a different configuration, and Apple would not give me back a refund for my BTO powerbook.

Anyone wants to buy the powerbook? It's still unopened in the box. I live in Toronto, Canada. If anyone's interested, post a posting here.

I'm just curious on what kind of modifications you wanted to make that you can't make now... since it may be worth it considering the loss you might have to take now.

Either way, sorry to hear... I feel your pain.

i would assume the video memory...that's the most important thing to upgrade, that shouldn't even be an option. at $50, on a $2000+ computer...that's change. I don't know how much differecen the 128meg card will make on a 167 fsb but it's worth it for knowledge that your's is bigger :D.

....even if that is the case, is that one feature worth the hassle and (possible) money lost?

Unless he's planning to either have 400+ windows open at once...or power a 21" as well- will it be that noticable?

Can you post the exact specs and how much you want? I would be interested, but you'd have to compete with the Student Developer discount I'm getting (though I guess this may be a long shot considering the discount is 20%).

I have (1.5GHz 15", 1 stick of 512MB RAM, 64MB Video card, 4200RPM HD, Superdrive, Backlite keyboard). I'm looking for $3715 CAD. I can't beat the Student Developer discount, but the thing is you get to have the machine NOW. The machine is getting delievered to me on Monday at 12pm (well, at least that's what FedEx says). I want the 17" for its screen real estate...
