All iMacs go to core 2 duo plus a new 24" iMac. Lower prices as far as I can tell from he UK store.

Ack, they still haven't updated the Aussie Education store properly yet. It's on the splash, but no new macs showing.

That being said, the timing is nice. I DO hope they put the price either down, or the specs have been bumped noticably.

The 17" and 20" has become much cheaper, too... :)

But with 2 x 512 MB as the lowest RAM configuration (except for the 17" which also can be bought with 2 x 256) I foresee a lot of wasted RAM once people get their cheaper 3rd party RAM... why not an option to get 1 x 512 or even 1 x 1 GB? :(

Well this sucks . . . I just bought my iMac back in April! Once I heard that the Core 2's were out, I knew Apple would upgrade ASAP. I just knew it. :(
