Well, I finally made the decision!! After tossing up between the MB & MBP for the last three weeks, I realised I couldn't take it any longer. So on Friday I rushed into my local b&m and bought Jack (see sig).

The reason that I went with the iMac over it's more portable cousins: I really wanted the power of the MBP (Aperture & PS) but it would have left me broke. As we already have my GF's Maggie, we that we could reach a compromise on sharing the laptop and a desktop. With portability no longer an issue, the 20" iMac was really the only option.

But WOW:eek: what an option it is!!! I really don't want to gush, but it's awesome! The huge screen real estate is fantastic and it absolutely flies. I would give you technical details and benchmarks but the sh*t-eating grin on my face is stopping me from doing anything sensible right now:D. I love it.

Thank you :apple:, another very satisfied customer.

No, it is supposed to be the boys name. It may sound a little crazy, but the desktop felt a more masculine than the ibook so he got a boys name.

I figured the boys names were for your computer and the girls names was your girlfriends computer. Congrats on the iMac. Would love to have one myself.

No, he is going to mate them so he doesn't have to buy anymore computers in the future. Congratulations. You've bought a fine machine.
