so some adobe employee's blog says it universal but nowhere on the product page or in any of adobe's literature says its universal?

Where is the problem? All of Adobe's employees on the blog say that Acrobat 8 is UB. The product page does not contradict this. In fact, Intel-based Macs are listed as supported platforms. What more do you want?

Macworld updated their article to indicate that Acrobat 8 is indeed UB.
