SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Californians will soon see advertisements urging them to help give Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and other foreign-born citizens the chance to run for president. On the Net: http://www.amendforarnold.com

In other news, the Canadian Parliament today declared November, National "Mock Our Stupid American Neighbors" Month (French accent optional).

Sort of strange that American democrats want to run away while Mexicans are still trying to get across our border into the US.

If it was really as bad as everyone thinks in the US, the Mexicans would be going back to Mexico. ;)

So yes, the National "Mock Our Stupid American Neighbors" Month has some merit.

Just because our country is going to suck really bad in the near future doesn't mean it sucks more than Mexico now.

So has Arnold dropped his dual citizenship in Austria and the US? Last I heard he was still a citizen in both and therefore still not eligible for the presidency with most of the proposed Constitutional Amendments since they require the candidate to be a "sole" US citizen.

there is no "dual citizenship" in austria ... at least our constiution doesn't allow it because of international treaties signed by austria

the day arnold accepted US citizenship he lost automatically the austrian one

Just like in the US. Certain privileges might not be allowed to the average citizen but if you know the right people...

hm yeah there is the "but if a person does overwhelming good things for the republic, he can get one" part in the law (just like in the immigration law) but i didn't thought that being actor in hollywood was enough for that...

(ironically this allowance isn't granted/regulated by federal bureaus but instead by governments of the the austrian 'states' which is an exception as well...)
