Heh, very clever. LOL, I hope they don't use it though.

    niiiice. :p

Hmmm. Can you change the start-up chime under Tiger? Not that I'd use this one other than as a joke, but I have some other ideas....

Anyone want to create a nice techno song using it? That would be funny.

I'm pretty sure it's in the firmware and isn't alterable by any means. And if you're planning on replacing the chime with a Marilyn Manson song, then I hope to God it's in the firmware and not alterable. ;)

    Oh, that's classic.

*shudder* I hate the intel noise, though! :)

    Nice work!

I hope it doesn't happen though, I don't want to be able to notice any of the changes.

Well, I wasn't gonna go there, but now you've gone and given me an idea.

*laughing maniacally, starts recreating the chorus of "The Beautiful People" in GarageBand*

What will be great is when the Intel jingle is at the end of an Apple commercial :p

(I acutally don't think that will happen)

www.mactracker.ca has the old startup sounds. I am not sure about how or if you can change yours. I'm pretty sure it's not a software-level thing.

Oh god. That's not even funny. Actually, it is; but I still want to vomit.

haha, thats good. I actually don't find it that bad. However I don't want to be able to notice any changes with the transition. I want to keep the Gs, no intel stickers - actually I don't want to see/hear/smell anything about intel. I am very prejudice when it comes to processors.

lol that's pretty nice. i wish you could change your startup sound like you can under windows, although isn't the new one loaded from Open Firmware as opposed to OS X? I used to have a 1:30 long song as my windows startup sound and the song finished before it finished booting :p although it was a daaaayyaaaamn slow computer...
