I have Mac The Ripper right now... And it is okay I guess...

Kinda out-dated and does not work with all movies.

Does anyone know if there will be a new app in the future that will rip DVD's?

Any one heard of any updates to Mac The Ripper or a new app? Thanks!

Lemme guess, trying to rip Sony Pictures movies?

Newer Sony Pictures DVDs use a newer copy protection method of "ARccOS" and a new one called "RipGuard DVD". You might try the new version of fast DVD copy to see if it works for the DVDs you are having issues with.

new version of MTR is almost done. It sounds like it will become an excellent app once again (total rewrite). Not going to be freeware though.

    Cool!

Money is not an issue. I buy new DVD's weekly and I would like to add them to my itunes collection and/or just back them up.

    Check out www.ripdifferent.com/~mtr

They are working on a new version at the moment which promises to be much more improved.

    EDIT: Beaten to it!
