How likely are new PowerMacs?

When Virginia Tech seemed to say they aren't expecting their XServe G5s before the beginning of June.

If Apple cannot fill a measly 1000 unit order for XServe G5 which is generally a low volume product.

How can they expect to ship 10s of thousands of the new PowerMac in short order to the masses?

Apple catching up on the XServe G5 with the 970fx would be a good sign for seeing them in PowerMac G5s.
