I've finished the Design portion of my page, well mostley.

I would love some critiquing, want to make sure that it is as perfect as possible before we post it.

    http://www.kidneysocal.org/cmsms

I still need to add some css stuff that I'm still working on how to do, such as making the top nav an unordered list so that I can create onovers and the 'you are here" effect.

This is also said about the nav on the left, I'm working on making also sub-UI's (cant figure out how to make the sub UI not effect the onover of its parent). and also a 'you are here effect'.

This site will be put into a content Management system.
I might add a news section below the left navigation.

Most Importantly I would really like to thank all of your guys here at MacRumors in the Web Development (should be the Web Development / Web Design) Forum. You have been very helpfull with the project, and myself as well as the entire staff at the National Kidney Foundation thank you very much

Not exactly what you're looking for, but since you asked... What's up with ceekdesigns.com? It's really unattractive and conveys no information whatsoever. There's even an orphaned letter "C" just sitting on the page:

Why would you put a link to that page in your sig?

well to start. I needed critique on http://www.kidneysocal.org/cmsms

second of all ceek designs in the name I've given to my design portfolio.
I'm well aware of its look at the moment. I had to throw up somthing quick (havent had any time to work on it, been to busy with clients to work on my own site), because of a logo copyright dispute (they stole it and copywrote it).

So I had to change the look arround.

Second of all, it was done in about 15 minutes just as a placholder so there are a number of coding errors that make it look like crap in some browers, I don't know what browser you are using, but it looks pretty good in Safari. Next, I never noticed the random "C", I'll fix that.

As for no information: Its a coming soon page, it conveys the COMING SOON message the best way possible.

Check back in about a month and you will see a much better looking site

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: How about critiquing what I asked people to critique

...Only if your browser window is at least 1000px wide. Anything less than that and your "coming soon" message disappears, which is why I didn't see it. Safari 2.0.4.

It's difficult to critique your kidney site since I'm not too sure what you actually designed. It seems to be a basic CMS Made Simple template with no working links except for the three in the footer, one of which is to ceek.com.

I will say this, it looks a lot better than kidneysocal.org's current homepage. :D

Sorry I can't be of more help.

[Here's what your 'coming soon' page looks like for me with the browser window at 999 wide]

oh, your right...... guess I should actually go to my own site sometimes....... well like I said that's just a temporary thing rite now..... dont care much about it, but the new design is coming a long pretty kickassly.......

as for it being basicly a CMSMS template: It was not built on their framework, it was from the ground up, admittedly I spent a lot of time moving it into a format where it would be more like a CMSMS template....

but I was just looking at is as more of a how does it look, I've got some opinions from some people, generally people like it..... just wanted osme more opinions, I think it looks a little washed out, anybody agree???

    that type of stuff

    thanks

    Janitor,

Some positive criticism, but before I start.... what language is the site in? Looks like Latin, but since its for California - as per the kidney logo - it may be in Spanish.

however you links just below the top navigator bar are in English? Same with the side navigation bar. Maybe a unison language is needed for all site info and body info as well as navigation bars with an small unobtrusive English button.

not bad, its much better than I can do.

This is seriously minor, but I can't take my eye off it: the menu is just a little bit shorter than the logo field above it. Things like that make me think that I'm going to wake up in a tub filled with ice with a mysterious incision in my side.

Its Lorem Ipsom its just filler text. Its been a standard for filler text in the design and printing industry for years......... heres a better explanation http://www.lipsum.com/

I just used it to put somthing there, because the actual content is not written yet, and I just needed to work on the design

Yes, that is Latin. It's a standard bit of text that designers use when trying out layouts.

Edit - Beaten to the punch!

In your CSS, I'm seeing 205px. The box in the image is 207 pixels, maybe 208 if you count that transitional column. (JPEG wasn't very kind to that banner, especially the logo. Maybe a little less compression, or try another file format?)
